KVPY-2019

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July every year.

Selection of the students is made from those studying in XI standard to 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology having aptitude for scientific research. Special groups / Committees are set up at IISc to screen the applications and conduct an aptitude test at various centres in the country. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are called for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure. For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test and interview marks are considered.
Generous fellowships are provided up to the pre-Ph.D. level to the selected KVPY Fellows.

JNU ENTRANCE




Office of the Director of Admissions, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi has announced that the JNU Entrance Examinations (JNUEE) for the Academic year 2019-20.
Tentative Dates for the JNU Entrance Examinations (JNUEE) for the Academic Year 2019-20 are December 27-30, 2018.
The format for the JNUEE 2019-20 will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
through a Computer Based Test.
Please note that JNU reserves the right to change the Dates of the Entrance
Examination to a later date. This is for the kind information of all aspirants who
wish to appear in JNUEE 2019-20.

UCEED 2019 REGISTRATION STARTED


Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2019 Exam online registration process has started  from October 9. For notification on please visit official website of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay http://www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/. The students who want to study Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Program can apply through the official website, http://uceed.iitb.ac.in, till November 9 and with late fee of Rs 500 till November 16, 2018
IIT Bombay will be conducting Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2019 on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor Degree programme in Design (B. Des.) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDM) must appear in UCEED 2019.

Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects are eligible to apply to all the four institutes. Candidates from any other stream (Science without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to only IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur.
The candidates appearing for their qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2019 should ensure that, (a) all parts of their final examination are completed by the date of registration in respective admitting institute, and (b) proof of having passed the qualifying examination with required eligibility is submitted by September 30, 2019 to the admitting institute.

MILITARY NURSING SERVICE

Indian Army invited applications from FEMALE CANDIDATES (only) for admission to 4years B Sc. (Nursing) Course commencing in 2019 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. Candidates will be awarded admission in Colleges of Nursing based on the merit cum choice, subject to medical fitness and the vacancy in each College. The Selected candidates shall execute an Agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service. On successful completion of Nursing Training (4years), the candidates will be granted Permanent/Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing
Service, under the Terms and Conditions laid down for grant of such Commission.
Subsequent to passing the final year University examination for B Sc (Nursing) Course, the candidates will be offered Commission in the Military Nursing Service subject to medical fitness. The date of declaration of result from respective Universities will be the date of Commission for the candidates. The date of Commission determines the date of seniority in service among all candidates who have joined the Course in the same year.
Eligibility Conditions:
(a) Female candidates who are unmarried/divorcee/legally separated/ widow without encumbrances.
(b) Nationality – Citizen of India
(c) Date of Birth – Between 01 Oct 1994 to 30 Sep 2002 (both days inclusive).
(d) Educational Qualification – Candidates must have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory / Recognized Board /University/ Examination Body. Candidates who will be appearing for Final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally.
The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the  qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the Course.
(e) Physical standards – Medical fitness will be determined as per standards applicable for Commission in the Armed Forces as amended from time to time. X-Ray examination of Chest and USG (of abdomen & pelvis) will be done. Minimum height should not be less than 148 cm (relaxed by 5cm in case of candidates belonging to Western Himalayan region, Eastern Himalayan region and Scheduled Tribes). The candidate’s E-mail ID is the user ID for this website and the candidate will select her own password. It is mandatory for the candidate to give one live contact mobile number for correspondence.
Only the Eligible candidates will be able to pay the online application processing fee of Rs 150/- . On successful completion of online payment a bank reference number (DU Number) will be generated for the future correspondence of the candidate.
(The last date for online submission of application & online payment of fee will be on 30 Nov 2018 by 1700hrs).  The Admit Card for the Written Test can be generated online by the candidate by 3rd week of Dec 2018

NIFT UG 2019

NIFT 2019 UG Courses Online Registration started

NIFT 2019 – National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), will be conducted written entrance examination 2019  on January 20 for admissions to B.Des and B.F.Tech programmes. Registration has begun for NIFT from October 22 and the last date for filling it is December 28, 2018. Candidates will be able to pay register by paying the late fee with Rs. 5000/- till January 3.
NIFT 2019 entrance exam, which will be a pen and paper based test, will be held for admissions across the Institute’s 16 campuses situated in New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Kangra, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Patna, Srinagar, Kannur, Raebareli, Shillong and Kolkata.
Educational Qualification
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.  or equivalent.
